Tea Rejuvenation Routine

Many of us drink it every day and some of us swear by it but haven’t taken the time to really understand the full power of this everyday elixir. I’m talking about tea. Toxins get into our bodies and cause us to feel sluggish all day! Unfortunately, few of us take the time to cleanse or rejuvenate ourselves, sitting in years of built-up gunk and metals running wild in our bodies.

There is also stunning evidence that tea can not only help you keep your weight in check and bring blood sugar under control but can ward off many diseases. All the while helping to relieve stress and give us more control of our lives.

You may have heard about the benefits and powers of tea for detox, so let's talk about how to incorporate it into your daily lifestyle. It’s actually super simple to do! This is not an intermittent fasting plan or a true cleanse routine. Just a simple way to bring into your day in a way that will some spring in your step that I call the tea rejuvenation routine.

Morning Refresh

Start your morning with a refreshing tea. This helps with waking up your organs and kick-starting your metabolism and giving yourself the anti-oxidant, vitamin, and energy boost you need for the rest of the day. Choosing a tea with citrus or adding in lemon is an added benefit to get your digestive system a boost. This is especially important if you decide to do an intermittent fasting plan.

A couple of favorites of mine include:

These teas are all naturally on the sweeter side but if you need to add anything a slice of lemon or a packet of Honey Goodness crystals should do the trick.

Go Green

Throughout the day drink multiple cups of green tea such as Jasmine Bliss. At one point or another, you’ve probably heard about the magical elixir that is green tea. Filled with endless anti-oxidants, vitamins, and general goodness, it has become a staple for health and wellbeing. The real secret with green tea is when you drink it.  The most optimal for me is 30 minutes before a meal and immediately after.

Some of the features of Green tea include:

  • Helps burn fat: The anti-oxidant features of the tea help speed up your metabolic rate, resulting in energy being burned, even when not active.
  • Improves immunity: Fights against flu and colds.
  • Super medicine: There have been reports that it can prevent and guard against certain cancers, arthritis, and diabetes.
  • Re-hydrates: Going against common beliefs that tea dehydrates you, green tea has been found to have similar re-hydration effects as water.
  • Neurological: Has been shown to prevent degenerative and neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s.

This is only just a small list of the benefits of green tea offers. Going green is good not just with your vegetables but also with your tea — the greener the better. My favorites are:

THE NIGHTLY WIND DOWN

You probably already know that chamomile tea can help induce sleep. But science is showing that teas like chamomile actually work on a hormonal level to bring peace and slumber. These herbal teas can actually reduce levels of stress hormones in our bodies, bringing on sleep — and reducing the body’s ability to store fat! The optimal method is to begin the end of day wind down an hour before going to sleep.

Following a weekend of this rejuvenation routine, I felt lighter, more alert, and even more centered. I encourage you to give this routine a try, and see how quickly you too will feel rejuvenated and your Swanky Best!
